Christianity Explored 2012
Its a bit like an Alpha. You don’t need to know anything about the Bible or Church. It does help if you’re interested in knowing more about Jesus and perhaps in growing your faith.
I’d really like it if the Whole Church (living) could get themselves into one of the groups from Sunday 22nd January until Palm Sunday. Rico Tice wrote see their website for more details.
To begin with it works its way through Mark’s Gospel - hence us handing out 200 over Christmas. The Sunday sermons will focus on part of your homework. The group work will be similar but different.
These are the Groups (at 160112)and the people in them, I think. If you’d like to join a group do talk to James or Eb or to someone in a group.
.
James won’t be involved in the groups (that’s a good thing) and instead Rico Tice himself will be there in DVD to give a short talk (15mins) and then its over to you to talk about it. You won’t be asked to sing or to pray or read aloud. You can ask any question you like (that’s not promising the best of answers but we’ll try).
MISSED a talk? there’s a book “One Life, what’s it all about” that you can read, or borrow the DVD or ask me for a CD of the book - I’ve gone and read it out loud to my dicatphone so if you do lots of driving ask me for a set. Yes I got permission. No i don’t sound like Fiona Bruce. It is also possible to use this to read the talks. Outline of talks
MORE Christianity Explored website has got lots more. There’s even a full version of Week 1 video, a link to Mark’s Gospel, I like the section on Tough Questions but I haven’t heard them all.
Let me know if you’d like more info here. In the meantime, get reading your Mark’s gospel and find a group you can be part of and bring a friend. Oh, yes, its free.
